National Mooting Competition

BPP Law School is pleased to be teaming up with Oxford University Press (OUP) National Mooting Competition for the second year running.

This competition is open to every university in the UK who are able to enter one team.

The final of this year's competition took place at BPP Law School, Holborn on Monday 30 June.

Winners announced

  • Heather Emmerson and Michael Lee, representing University of Cambridge have won the 2007/2008 competition and each received a trophy, £750 and certificate.
  • Nicholas Howe and Lauren Sales, representing the University of Reading were the runners up and each received £350 and a certificate.


The final round saw two moots, City University v Birmingham City University and University of Cambridge v University of Reading. His Honour Judge Gratwicke oversaw proceedings and chose an overall winner and runner up. More information on the evening can be found in the press release.

The prize

The winning mooting team will win £1,500 to be shared between them and a chance to work on some of BPP’s Pro Bono projects.

The runners up will win £700 to share between them.
