BPP Law School, Leeds
Situated in the heart of the city, just a five minute walk from the train station and main shopping areas, BPP's Law School in Leeds is a state-of-the-art building providing high-level technological facilities, comfortable common rooms and is home to the North of England's only IP Centre of Excellence, launched in 2006 in conjunction with local firms and chambers.
Our tutors are a dedicated to the highest standards in legal education and supported by a team of careers advisors and careers tutors with a wealth of experience and excellent links with over 120 individuals in local and national firms from all areas of practice.
Preparing you for practice
There are various initiatives in place at BPP Law School, Leeds designed to help you get a training contract and prepare you for your future career as a solicitor or barrister.
If you are a GDL student you can take part in our work experience scheme. This includes a programme of activities which will enhance your CV and help prepare you for life in practice.
Or if you are an LPC student without a training contract you can join our Access to Practice scheme in which we match you with a legal practitioner who can offer advice and encouragement on securing a training contract.
At BPP Law School, Leeds each LPC elective is sponsored by one of the law firms listed on the right ensuring that the content is relevant to current practice.
High Street Extra
New for September 2010, we will be offering the High Street Extra at BPP Law School in Leeds. This is an optional programme for LPC students, completely free of charge, on the areas of practice that are key to High Street or small firms that provide general legal services to individuals and local businesses. Our law school in Leeds provides you with a range of networking opportunities throughout the academic year:
