BPP Law School Leeds - Law Fair 2007

BPP Law School held its annual law fair on Thursday 1st November at their Leeds location at Whitehall Quays. Twenty legal service providers attended.  Private practices included national, regional and Leeds based firms offering a range of legal service portfolios. Public sector providers included Leeds City Council, Government Legal Services and the CPS.

All the legal providers found the event a worthwhile experience enabling them to showcase their firms, meet other providers and seek out potential trainee solicitors from the 250 BPP students who attended the fair.

Linda Jackson, HR manager at Clarion Solicitors, Leeds  took the opportunity to discuss the firm with students and to answer their questions on the application process. She described it as “an excellent event,” and said “we would like to come along again next year.”

Aviva Stockman from Gordons LLP said “ I’m looking forward to the next one.”

Suzanne Gee from the Government Legal Service said they “had a lot of interest and raised the profile of the GLS. Please invite us again.“

DLA Piper were “pleased to establish links with BPP and its students in a friendly and welcoming environment.”

Sally Brewis, HR Manager from Dickinson Dees was impressed with “how well the students had prepared for the event.”

Current BPP students studying the Legal Practice Course, Graduate Diploma in Law and the Bar Vocational Course had carefully researched the organisations attending making the afternoon a focused and productive occasion for both students and employers.
