BPP awarded the highest grade from the Solicitors Regulation Authority
London - BPP is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the highest grade by the Solicitors Regulations Authority (SRA) across all areas of its legal practice course (LPC), with the panel of assessors unanimously rating BPP's LPC as a "commendable practice".
The grading, which aims to ensure that the LPC and the legal profession as a whole maintains high standards, comes just months after BPP received degree awarding powers to provide LLBs to students who complete a one year graduate diploma in law.
The SRA updated its assessment criteria in 2005 to distinguish a higher standard of teaching and support, comprehensively assessing six categories: teaching learning and the curriculum; assessment; students and their support; learning resources; leadership and management; and quality assurance and enhancement.
Areas of excellence highlighted by the SRA included a well structured and established curriculum, high quality learning materials and an enthusiastic course team.
Peter Crisp, Dean of BPP's Law School commented: "BPP are delighted with this result, especially in meeting the SRA's tougher new assessment criteria. We feel this assessment reflects the excellent teaching, resources and support that BPP offers to trainee solicitors - ensuring they meet the highest professional standards in preparation for their future careers."
