BPP Law School, Leeds earns highest rating from Solicitors Regulation Authority
The Solicitors Regulations Authority (SRA) has rated BPP Law School, Leeds LPC programme as ‘commendable’. Across all six SRA assessment categories BPP Law School, Leeds received the top grade of ‘commendable practice’.
Peter Crisp, Dean of BPP’s Law School commented: “BPP Law School, Leeds continues to go from strength-to-strength. With the school now well established it is driving forward best practice. The SRA’s assessment is welcome recognition of BPP’s commitment to excellence across teaching, learning, assessment and careers in Leeds and all our centres in the UK.”

This is a well deserved rating for the BPP Law School, Leeds under the new SRA system and we hope to continue this success in the years to come.”
Key points in the six categories of the SRA assessment are as follows:
1. Learning Teaching and the Curriculum: “A well structured and established curriculum which is continuously being developed and enhanced…The course team is to be commended for a number of initiatives which have contributed to this process and for their very able, professional and enthusiastic delivery.”
2. Assessment: “A well developed assessment strategy, consistently and rigorously implemented.”
3. Students and their Support: “High quality support on all modes is available for all students and is flexible enough to meet their differing needs…There is a broad range of pro bono activities available and a mentoring scheme has been established…The Careers service was especially appreciated by the students.”
4. Learning Resources and Accommodation: “Extremely well resourced….Staff are very well qualified and supported by high quality resources…The pro-active staff training and development programmes are particularly commendable.”
5. Leadership and Management: “A well developed and effective management structure that works efficiently to support the course.”
6. Quality Assurance and Enhancement: “A comprehensive range of mechanisms are in place...There is clear evidence of their effectiveness.”
