Success for BPP students at Times Law Awards
BPP Law School student Ben Zurawel, 23, has won first prize in The Times essay competition. Ben, who is studying the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL), Waterloo, saw off the competition of nearly 200 entries to take home the £3,500 prize.
Success also went to Christopher Lillywhite, 23, who was a runner up in the competition and received £1,000 prize. Christopher is studying the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at BPP Law School, Holborn.
Ben’s essay will be published in The Times Law section on Tuesday 26th February and the full version published online. The topic for the essay competition was “In the bank or under the bed: should the law protect your money?”
Ben Zurawel said: "I am delighted to have won and am extremely grateful to the judges, The Times and One Essex Court for affording me such an excellent opportunity so early in my legal career."

The essays were judged by Jack Straw, Secretary of State for Justice and Lord Chancellor; Lord Grabiner QC; Lord Neuberger; Christopher McKane, Deputy Managing Editor, The Times and Edmund Nourse, barrister at One Essex Court.
