Undergraduate degrees: LLB (GDL Conversion)
At BPP you have the opportunity to be awarded an LLB alongside your GDL, by completing two additional modules.
The LLB has been designed exclusively for our GDL students and alumni (who started their GDL in 2002 or later), as a result of the Privy Council's recent decision to grant BPP College degree awarding powers.
We offer flexible study modes and programme delivery so you can complete the LLB at a time and in a way that suits you. Modules will be available for completion over the summer or over a longer period of time (up to seven years after the start date of your GDL) to suit you.
The LLB (GDL Conversion) combines the flexibility of distance learning with one-to-one assistance from an approachable team of tutors. With materials provided through mediums to suit every student, BPP offers a unique system of learning, motivating students to reach their very highest potential.

An LLB in the UK generally requires 360 credits. BPP's LLB is reached in three stages:
- stage 1 – prior undergraduate degree or COAS. Your prior undergraduate degree or COAS is recognised in the LLB as contributing 120 credits of Accredited Prior Learning (APL)
- stage 2 – GDL. This is a highly intensive programme covering the equivalent of two years of foundation subjects in an undergraduate LLB. It contributes 180 credits towards the LLB
- stage 3 – final two modules. These are rated at 30 credits each. Together they comprise the final 60 credits necessary for an LLB
