Modes of study

At the heart of the design of the LLB is flexibility. We know this is one of the main reasons students choose to study at BPP and for the LLB flexibility is even more important than for the GDL.
This is because we are aware that students’ circumstances - especially over the summer - vary widely and it is important that the modules are available to all students irrespective of site, mode, working circumstances etc. So although you can study full-time and complete both modules over the summer, you don’t have to – you can effectively set your own timetable to suit your needs and circumstances. For example you could complete one in the summer of 2008 and the second in the summer of 2009.
You have up to 5 years to complete the extra modules and earn your LLB, allowing you the optimum time to suit your individual circumstances.
Please note you will always have to work with the syllabus and assessment structure for the current year of any module. These details may differ from previous years, as will the price of each module.
You can complete the LLB online or using a mix of online activities and face-to-face teaching.
For each topic there will be an online lecture, reading materials and an online tutorial. The online provision means you can complete the programme at a time and place that suits you.
You are also welcome to come into any of BPP Law School's libraries and work there. This flexibility means the modules are available to you irrespective of whether you are working or doing your GDL full-time, part-time or via distance learning, at Leeds, London or Manchester.
However we also provide the option of face-to-face teaching if you prefer this mode of learning. This will be available in London (Waterloo) only (due to the specialised staff needed), but all students are welcome to attend. The seminars are concentrated into two weeks, on two separate dates. If you can't come to London the seminars will also be available online.
