Legal Practice Course (LPC)
The LPC is the vocational training programme for those intending to practise as solicitors. At BPP, we view the LPC as more than just a qualification. It is the start of your career as a solicitor. It is vital for you to choose the right provider who can support you throughout your studies and develop the key skills you will need to be an effective trainee solicitor.
Preparing you for practice
It is now widely recognised that lawyers must have more than just legal knowledge to be successful. Commercial awareness and high standards of service differentiate one firm from another. An employer will expect you to identify this at an early stage by having the necessary skills to work with clients and understand their business needs.
To reflect the growing role of lawyers as business advisers, BPP's LPC has been designed in conjunction with leading law firms and BPP's Business School to include the following features:
- essential grounding every trainee solicitor needs in black letter law and legal skills
- taught by experienced solicitors from a variety of practice backgrounds using the highest quality resources
- training in business and finance that will give you an understanding of the language and culture of business and put your legal training into context
- BPP programme materials prepared in conjunction with practitioners, based on real-life examples using case and transaction simulations
