To apply for the LPC you must meet the following minimum admissions requirements:

  • qualifying law degree (minimum lower second class honours), or
  • qualifying non-law degree (minimum lower second class honours) and GDL or CPE, or
  • similar qualification such as ILEX/FILEX

Priority is given to applicants who have placed BPP as their first choice.

The SRA requires that all LPC students are enrolled as student members before they start the LPC. Applicants who intend to become solicitors are advised to join the SRA as soon as possible.

Please note that if you intend to start the full-time Legal Practice Course (LPC) this September you must apply for membership with the SRA before the 1st August 2008. You will not be able to commence the programme if you do not do this.

How do I apply?

Full-time Part-time

Applications for the full-time LPC must be made through the Central Applications Board (CAB).

Second round applications for 2008/09 are now open and close at the start of term in September 2008. Offers made to students in the second round are dispatched weekly.

Please note that the full-time LPC in London starting in 2008 is full.

First round applications for September 2009/10 open on 1st October 2008 and close on 1st December 2008. Offers will be dispatched on the 2nd February 2009.

Places at BPP fill up quickly and you are advised to apply as early as possible.
