How is the programme taught?

How is the programme taughtYou will be taught using a combination of small group sessions, lectures and on-line training. Each module is taught using one hour lectures and two hour small group sessions. The small group sessions are based on student-centred learning in which you will actually do the work of a trainee solicitor rather than just talk about it!

In addition to developing the knowledge of black letter law required of a solicitor, the programme concentrates on developing the skills (such as legal writing, drafting, advocacy and interviewing and advising clients) you will require to succeed, whatever your chosen area of practice.

BPP places much emphasis on developing legal research skills - vital when dealing with an ever-changing body of law and to impress your supervisor when asked to research into an unfamiliar area of law!

Our award-winning Pro Bono Centre allows you to put your legal knowledge and skills into practice in a way that benefits members of the community.

Because of the quality of training we provide, many firms advertise their trainee solicitor and paralegal vacancies directly with BPP or ask BPP to select appropriate applicants.
